Lily Zhangbraff
is an accomplished Impressionistic oil painter with a remarkable aptitude for Landscapes and Portraiture in particular. She was classically trained by Chinese Master Chor Choi Foo, and has also taken classes at The Art Student League in New York City. In 2010 ,she attended a classical painting technique program at Grand Central Academy of Art in N.Y.C and was honored to receive their special Hudson River School Fellowship award.
Lily's art has been influenced by old master Nicolar Fechin, as well as contemporary painters Jove Wang and Scott Christensen. Her artwork features an expressive use of color and evocative dancing brushstrokes. When she paints, Lily diligently searches her heart to discover what really moves and captivates her viewers. She feels incredibly proud when one of her works is purchased or given professional recognition.
Lily has participated in numerous juried national and international exhibitions, hosted by organizations such as the American Impressionist Society , Oil Painters of America. The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society. Her paintings have received many awards. She is an elected member of the Salmagundi Club in New York City and member of National Association Women Artists. Her paintings have been purchased by many private collectors.
Lily is a Full-time artist and has the luxury of being able to paint or draw in her home studio every single day. "I love art wholeheartedly ,"" Lily says."Creating something beautiful make me happy and brings me excitement and satisfaction. The images I bring to life on canvas are a way for me to express my inner thoughts , feelings and interests. My paintings communicate things that words cannot."
